Shawn grew up in a small rural community outside of Danville, Virginia but also spent much of his time on Buggs Island Lake. Which is why he is so happy to be living 25 minutes from it now with his wife, Crystal and their 5 children. 

Shawn lives and breathes the outdoor lifestyle.  His passion for land management and hunting began at a young age, learning what it takes to harvest deer and how to preserve the land they live on. Shawn started Dixie Outdoors Archery in 2009 which linked him to hundreds of hunters and landowners with the same passion. 

Shawn has not only had the privilege of hunting on some of the top farms in southside Virginia, but has also been involved in scoping out and finding others prime hunting leases. Shawn has the knowledge to see the potential in a property and the skills to bring that vision to life. He definitely enjoys the land management aspect as much as he enjoys hunting.

As the top producer at Virginia Realty in 2023 and ranked 57th nationally in sales volume, Shawn is a real estate expert with a deep passion for land and property. He is also a Certified Deer Steward by the National Deer Association (NDA), combing his expertise in real estate with a commitment to land stewardship and wildlife management.

Having grown up in Buffalo Springs, a small community in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, attending forestry school in North Carolina, and working in the forestry industry and agriculture for the past 30 years, Chandler has firsthand experience and a vast knowledge base of what Southside Virginia and the surrounding area has to offer in terms of farmland, timber land and real estate.  From his experience, he has the working knowledge of forest management for both commercial and recreational needs.  He is ready to match you with just the right piece of real estate for your needs!
